Our Plant Care

Lily (5yrs. old) loves to play with all of our plants; she picks the flowers and eats the leaves. She makes herbal teas and flower salads for our dog and cat, lucky them! To protect our Lily and her pets we never use harsh chemicals on our plants. We use 'organic' fertilizers, and add beneficial microorganisms to our soil.

We believe that this is not only safer for Lily but also healthier for our plants. Man-made chemical fertilizers make plants grow unnaturally fast, and throw everything out of balance. Like a body builder taking steroids. The plant will look big and beautiful, but the root system will be weak and shallow. At the first stress (low water, heat, disease) the plant will crash and may never recover. On the other hand if the natural balance is restored between the plant its root system and the soil, the plant will be big, healthy, beautiful, and strong all over.

Nature is an amazing system that was perfectly designed to support all plant life. Our Creator really knew what He was doing!
